Chicken wrap was delicious! Hot & juicy! The falafel wrap was good, but the individual pieces were stale.

My friends and I got takeout from The Hut. The food here was so comforting and hearty, and for a fair price, too! One of them ordered (and I'm not sure what exactly they ordered) so I'll do my best to describe what we got to enjoy). By the time we were eating the fries at my friends' apartment, they were a bit stale, so we air-fried them for about a minute and they were nice and crispy again. They're lightly seasoned, yet so addicting. We also got their falafel and gyro wraps. The falafel wrap was so good with its crispy falafel bits that was well seasoned. The naan was fluffy and chewy. The gyro wrap was also super flavorful and they don't skimp on the quantity of meat they give you here. Lastly, we got the shawarma platter with chicken and gyro, which was generously drizzled with a flavorful and creamy sauce. Give it a good mix, otherwise you'll be eating all the sauce for half of the platter and then no sauce for the second half. So much chicken and gyro -- was able to get a couple pieces every bite. The rice was good and the veggies was a nice and crunchy touch. Definitely needed it in the midst of carbs and protein.

We ordered from here a couple of weeks ago using the BOGO promo on UberEats which included lamb wraps, falafel wraps, salmon cheesesteaks, and steak and cheese sandwiches. Everything was so fresh and amazing. We look forward to ordering from here again.

The food was really good here. I got the Tikka Chicken and samosas. The staff was nice and didn't mind me when i got chatty and asked about items on the menu. I would definitely recommend this place. I hope they add potato and pea samosas in the future. I didn't really care for the lentils.

The food was decent nothing really to go crazy over. I would probably eat it again if in a crunch but DC has a subpar pallet in general. None the less decent food .

Chicken rice platter was good. Lamb wrap was my favorite. Both came with a white sauce on the side that went really well with the free fries we got from checking in.

It's nestled between other businesses on Georgia Ave. The exterior doesn't look like much and there are no current options for indoor dining (not sure what the situation was pre-pandemic). The menu is no expansive and i've only tried their falafel and chicken wraps. Both wraps were flavorful, delicious, well seasoned, and very reasonably priced for DC. The falafel was a not too crumbly or overly mushy and well made. The wraps also come with fries! A nice bonus: you can order Shawarma Hut from the bar next door (Reliable Tavern)!

Good place to stop in if it's late and need a quick bite before you go out or a quick lunch on the go. They only offer pickup, and I would recommend calling in your order beforehand. The service was great and the guy I got my food from was very nice. I ordered the gyro wrap with fries ($14). It was small compared to most gyro wraps I order, but I didn't mind. The food was made fresh. Hot fries and wrap which I loved. The actual wrap was just ok. There wasn't a lot of meat in it (the picture I posted was like all the meat in that half of my wrap) and the salad like toppings they put in the wrap over powered everything. The meat was seasoned well and very tender, but you couldn't taste it with everything else in the wrap so I was pretty disappointed with that. Overall, I still think it's a great option if you're in the neighborhood. If I went back, I would maybe just do the meat with a side salad or fries. I think I just ordered the wrong thing.

Love me some chicken & gyro over rice. Shawarma Hut hit me with that comfort food I know and love. I love mine drenched in sauce and they did not disappoint. What makes Shawarma Hut different from the others is that they make it Pakistani style so the meat and chicken has a bit more of a kick which I appreciated. My only criticism is that I wish they were located closer to me so I can get my hands on their food more often. You guys need to try their chicken & rice ASAP!!!!
